Premier Glow – How To Plan the Perfect Party

If you are planning a major party and want to make sure that everything flows smoothly, you will need some experience. Here are some tried and proven practices and methods that can help you pull off this small miracle.

Choose a note-taking method that works for you.

How do you prefer to take notes? Are you more inclined to carry a pen and notepad or do you prefer the convenience of modern digital media like typed and recorded notes? Are you a tablet or a notebook person?

There is really no right or wrong way to take notes. The only mistake would be assuming you will remember everything without them. The most important thing to consider will be how you will access and refer to these notes when you need to.

Whether you choose to use a small spiral bound book, a mobile device or your laptop computer, make sure you keep on top of all the notes you will need so nothing is forgotten.

Brainstorm ideas as soon as possible.

Time is an essential component of your party planning program. The sooner you have the plan in order the more time you will have to make all the arrangements.

Begin by letting all the ideas you have for the theme, beverages, guest list, caterers, music selection, decorations, etc.  Don’t worry about getting all this information perfect the first time. Your brainstorming notes will be adjusted as more details come to light. But the notes you will acquire are essential to forming the foundation for your imminent party.

Organize your thoughts.

By this time, you should have a pretty good idea of the various elements you will be including in your party plan. Food, drinks, props from Premier Glow.  It is now time to start laying the groundwork. Look over the list of compiled ideas and check them for compatibility. Do all the elements you would like to include in your party go well together, are there any logical changes you need to make? Are there any important details that have been forgotten? For example, if you are planning to have a cookout in the back, you may want to make a shopping list of all the food you would like to buy as well as the drinks and decorations.

Create a timeline.

Make sure you have a step-by-step plan that places all the events in sequential order. You don’t want to have two important activities happening at the same time. Draw a timeline of the event and be sure that each activity has been given sufficient time and that all activities are included. Is there enough time between each event to allow for full preparation?

Avoid keeping track of details in your head.

There is only so much information that can be kept in your head at one time. Add too many details and something is bound to slip right out unnoticed, probably something important. It is far better to whip out a short pencil and make a quick note of anything related to the party. It may seem small and inconsequential but it is best to have it on paper for future analysis, these small thoughts could be connected to something more important.

Assign specific tasks to your party or event helpers.

There is a good chance that you have drafted a few stalwart cohorts into helping with your event, be sure to take full advantage of this helping hand. Who is the one who is most meticulous in their activities? Who has the brawn for heavy lifting? Who is the one that can help you keep the pace reliably? Who has an eye for beauty and can plan the decorations exquisitely?

Organize your communications.

Communication can make all the difference in a party that flows like a song and one that clashes and screeches at every corner. Make sure the instructions you are providing are clearly understood. Take this a step further by making sure that important instructions are written down and supported by a proper guide. You may also want to delegate some team leaders that can help you handle the many questions sure to follow.
